Authenticity is at the heart of everything we do. Every designer item passes through our full process before it's ever offered for sale — here's exactly how it works.
Step One: Trusted Sourcing
We source our stock from carefully selected suppliers and sellers, chosen for their reliability and track record with genuine designer goods. Items are checked at the point of sourcing, filtering out anything that doesn't meet our standards before it ever reaches our own inspection process.
Step Two: In-House Inspection
Every item that comes through Refound Luxury is inspected and authenticated in person by our team before it's ever listed. Our detailed, hands-on inspection assesses:
- Materials and craftsmanship
- Stitching and construction
- Hardware and engravings
- Logos and branding
- Date codes, serial numbers and authenticity markings
- Overall quality and consistency
These are the details that are hardest to fake — and the ones we check first, on every single piece.
Step Three: Backed by Technology
Alongside our own inspection, where possible items are also authenticated using Entrupy — an independent, third-party authentication service used across the luxury resale industry. Entrupy uses micro-imaging to examine material and craftsmanship at a level the eye can't see, then cross-checks it against a database of millions of authenticated luxury items.
Each product listing states how an item has been authenticated. For Entrupy-authenticated items, you'll receive the authentication certificate by email once you've purchased the item.
Our Standard
Nothing gets listed until it has been through our own checks:
- Inspected and authenticated in person by our team
- Where possible, also authenticated by Entrupy, an independent third-party service
- Condition described honestly — always
This isn't a warehouse. It's one standard, applied to every piece we list.
The Security Tag
Selected items may arrive with an “Authenticated With Care” security tag attached, confirming the item returned is the same one originally dispatched. If you need to return an item, the tag must remain attached and untampered with — returns may be refused if it's been removed, cut or altered, unless the item is faulty or significantly not as described.
A Note on Condition
As we specialise in pre-owned luxury, many items will show signs of previous use. Any noticeable wear or imperfections are always clearly described and photographed in the listing, so you can shop with confidence.
